iPad

Well Apple has done it again. Always trying to one up Microsoft and this time I think they might have done it. Apple has just released the iPad which is basically like giant iPhone, minus a few features. The iPad is half an inch thick, weighs 1.5 pounds, and has a touch screen of 9.7 inches. It comes in 16, 32, and 64GB sizes. I have am iPhone which only 8GB, the old one I know, and its still isn't full. But the iPad will run off of iTunes and also be able to download all of the same apps as the iPhone.
It is almost time for me to get a new computer and was thinking about getting this instead, the only thing is it doesn't have a Word which is something i use a lot for school.

ice luge accident

Friday February 12th, Nodar Kumaritashvili was practicing before his event which was ice lugging. He lost control at 90mph and flew off the track and crashed which killed him on impact. The video was being aired live and continued to play through out the day. This cause much controversy in the media. Some people feel that it is unethical for the video to be aired on TV because it shows such graphic material and could be disturbing to some people as well as disrespectful to the family. I can see this from both sides of the story. The video is graphic because it does show someone dieing and could be disturbing to others but at the same time death is natural occurring thing. The video doesn't show him being murder in a gruesome manner. If they are going to air it on TV there should at least have a warning before stating that it there is graphic material in the video.

Google Buzz

So in a nut shell, Google is adding another web networking site similar to twitter. It is currently only available to G mail users. I personally don't think that it is really necessary to have 4 things of pretty much the same things. Myspace, Twitter, and Facebook are plenty. Myspace and Facebook are already the same thing so to double Twitter really doesn't make since to me.

Windows 7.....about time!!!

Not to long ago Microsoft released an updated version of windows called Windows 7. Most people who had Windows Vista, the update prior to Windows 7, probably were not in to much of a hurry to update there software, seeing how many problems Vista has had.

Despite how badly it preformed, the program still sold fairly well. But so far it looks like Microsoft has done a good job with their new software. The new update has not shown as many problems with compatibility as Vista or XP did; which is nothing but good news for Windows. For this reason, many companies are making the switch to Windows 7. So far it appears that vendors are happy with their update. Even though Microsoft cannot change the mistakes they made with Vista, they can continue to improve their new programs.

I have always had a PC and sometimes it gives me problems but for the most part like it. I have used mac's before but since I'm not as use to there programing, it can get a bit confusing. I'm hoping when I have the money to upgrade to Windows 7 it will be 100 times better then any of the other window programs I've had before.
